About This Group

Your Own Timeline

This group provides compassionate support for people processing loss while moving through transitions, pursuing purposeful goals, and adjusting to major life changes. Members are guided through grief with sensitivity, learning to honor their loss while gradually rebuilding hope and purpose.

The pace is gentle, and there is no pressure to share more than you are ready for. Grief is personal, so the group leaves room for each person's own timeline.

Different Losses, Different Days

You may want company on one day and quiet on another. A familiar place, an anniversary, or an ordinary household task can carry a different meaning after a loss. These details can give a conversation somewhere concrete to begin. There is no need to compare whose loss is greater or to turn every difficult day into a lesson. You can ask what kind of support would feel useful now, while leaving room for that answer to change.

The Neuroscience

Why Grief Scrambles Your Thinking

Grief is not only sadness. It can bring brain fog, poor sleep, forgetfulness, and physical exhaustion, because your brain is updating its map of a world that no longer holds someone or something it counted on.

Knowing this can be a relief. You are not losing your mind. You are grieving, and the group gives you a place to do that around people who will not need you to be finished.

Who This Group Is For

  • People grieving the death of a loved one
  • People going through divorce, separation, or relationship loss
  • People adjusting to major life transitions
  • Anyone feeling stuck in grief and looking for support

Lament Is Welcome Here

For many believers, grief and faith are tangled together, questions for God included. If faith is not part of how you grieve, say so. Tell Cornerstone your preference when you call, and we will go over what is available.

Is it grief or depression?
