About This Group

A Place to Put Down What You Carry

This group offers a compassionate space for people living with anxiety, depression, trauma, and the weight of emotional overwhelm. Members are supported in processing difficult experiences while building practical coping skills, resilience, and a renewed sense of hope.

It integrates evidence-based approaches with an understanding that healing involves the mind, the emotions, and overall well-being. It is planned as ongoing weekly support, so you are not racing a finish line.

The Neuroscience

Why These Three Often Travel Together

Anxiety, low mood, and trauma responses look different from the outside, and they have different causes. They can also overlap, in a nervous system that has been on duty too long. Sleep slips, concentration fades, and small things register as big ones.

This group is planned to spend real time on what is happening in the body and why. Being able to name a pattern can make it easier to practice grounding when it shows up.

Scripture or No Scripture

For Christians, hope and lament may already be part of the language. If you would like the clinical skills without it, say so. Tell Cornerstone your preference when you call, and we will go over what is available.

Questions About This Group

Is a group enough if my depression feels heavy?

That is a question for the consultation. If your symptoms need more than a weekly group, Tatiana will say so and talk through other care. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 or call 911.

Do I have to describe my trauma to the group?

No. You can learn and practice the skills without telling anyone the details of what happened.

Can I stay on my medication?

Medication decisions belong with you and your prescriber. Group does not ask you to change them.
