About This Group

Self-Care That Fits a Real Life

This group is designed for people who feel overwhelmed by the demands of work, family, and daily life. Members explore what sustainable balance looks like for them personally and develop self-care routines that fit the life they actually have, not an imaginary one with empty afternoons.

The format is relaxed and conversational, with something practical to take away from each session.

Making Room Without Adding Another Demand

Balance does not have to mean giving every part of life an equal number of hours. You might begin by naming what is fixed, what can be negotiated, and what you have been treating as an obligation without choosing it. A helpful question is whether a proposed change fits the week you actually have. If a plan requires money, childcare, flexibility, or support that is not available, that limitation deserves attention too.

The Neuroscience

Rest Is a Physiological Need

A body that never leaves stress mode pays for it in sleep, patience, and focus. Recovery is part of how the nervous system works, and a vacation once a year does not cover the debt.

So this group is planned around small, repeatable signals of safety and rest that can fit between a shift and school pickup. Boundaries around work count as nervous system care, too.

Sabbath, If That Speaks to You

For many Christians, rest is already a matter of faith. Others prefer a purely clinical conversation. Tell Cornerstone your preference when you call, and we will go over what is available.

Questions About This Group

I can barely make time for this. Is a group realistic?

Telehealth removes the commute, and the plan is under an hour a week. Share your schedule when you call.

Is this a time management class?

Time and priorities are one topic. Most of the work is about stress, rest, and the boundaries that protect them.

Can my employer pay for this?

Ask when you call. Organizations that want training for a whole team can look at Staff Development instead.
