It also suits people who would rather not walk into an office building for a group, such as parents, shift workers, and anyone who prefers not to sit in a waiting room.

Planning for the Space Around You

A video connection is only one part of the setup. Consider who may be nearby, whether you can be interrupted, and whether you can hear and be heard comfortably. A space that works for an ordinary call may not offer enough privacy for a group conversation. Discuss any limitations with the practice before assuming that a particular location will work.

Ask which platform will be used and how to check access before the first meeting. If you have concerns about using a device, accommodations, or connection reliability, bring them up while exploring the group. The practice can explain its available arrangements and its instructions for a disrupted session.
