Why It Fits

A Framework That Feels Familiar

Cognitive behavioral therapy works from a simple idea: thoughts, feelings, and behavior affect one another, and you can learn to catch and examine the thought. Many Christians recognize that immediately. Paul wrote of "bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ" (2 Corinthians 10:5, KJV) long before anyone drew a CBT triangle.

Tatiana takes evidence-based frameworks like CBT and looks at them next to biblical principles, so you can use both without feeling like you switched languages.

The Thought"I always ruin things.""God must be disappointed in me."
The QuestionWhat is the evidence for and against? What is the evidence, and what does scripture say about who you are?
The Replacement"I made a mistake and I can repair it.""I made a mistake, and I am not condemned." (see Romans 8:1)

What This Is Good For

  • Anxious, catastrophic thinking
  • Harsh self-talk that sounds spiritual
  • Perfectionism and fear of disappointing God
  • Anger that starts as an unspoken story about someone

Scripture Is Not a Thought-Stopper

A Caution Tatiana Would Add

A verse used to shut down a feeling usually backfires. Replacing a thought is not the same as pretending. The work is telling the truth about what you feel, then bringing what you believe into the same room.

Questions About This

Is this officially a different therapy?

No. It is CBT practiced by a clinician who integrates biblical principles for clients who want that.

What if my theology is different?
