How I Work
Eclectic, practical, and grounded in how the brain actually works.

How I Work
You Are the Expert on Your Own Life
Every session blends evidence-based methods with care for the whole person. I listen and follow your lead, and I also teach, because I believe people do better work when they understand what their brain and body are doing.
I take an eclectic approach. That means I pull from several evidence-based frameworks and use what fits you, rather than running everyone through one model.
Five Commitments
- Client-Centered: you set the direction
- Trauma-Informed: safety, trust, and compassion guide every interaction
- Humanistic: I see your whole person and the story that shaped you
- Strength-Based: we build on what is already working
- Psychoeducational: understanding how the brain works helps you take meaningful steps
And Where Faith Fits
For clients who want it, I look at those same frameworks alongside what biblical principles say. Non-faith-based counseling is also available; we can discuss which approach fits your preferences.

Questions About My Approach
Will you give me homework?
Ask Tatiana whether work between sessions would be part of your plan and what would fit your circumstances.
Can you promise this will work?
No clinician can promise results. I can promise to be honest with you about what I am seeing and to adjust if something is not helping.
What if I want only one approach?
Tell me. If you came looking for CBT or for somatic work specifically, we can start there.
